Your Dream Life or Mine?

May 15, 2024

Every decision I make is in service of my exceptional dream life. My husband and I dream of having location freedom, living six months in different countries—one of which will be Trinidad, where we’re both from—and using the United States as our base. We want our children to be global citizens. I never want to cook again, but I want to eat healthy, delicious food. We aim to outsource everything. This vision is unconventional, but it’s ours.

My life is exceptional—not in a bragging way, but in a way that acknowledges the unique choices I’ve made.

I use my life and stories to offer new perspectives. It’s easy to think, "Her life is different; it doesn’t apply to me." But my goal isn’t for you to live my dream life. It’s for you to connect deeply with your own desires and live a life that aligns with them. The essentials of what I talk about are universal, but how they manifest in your life will be unique to you.

Alone time is crucial, but it might look different for everyone. For me, it might mean a weekend or even a week alone with no kids or husband, doing whatever I want. For you, it could be a walk where you’re free to think without being needed. Caring for your mental and physical health is vital in discovering and pursuing what you truly want.

Being connected to your true desires means understanding what you want in all areas of life. Maybe you want to be a good mother, present for your kids, a good doctor, a loving partner. Or, you might realize you want something entirely different. This discovery process can be freeing, even if it’s scary.

As you follow me on Stethoscopes and Strollers, remember: I’m not exceptional; I’m intentional. I make choices to live the life I want and keep that as my focus. So, I ask you: What do you want? What life are you waiting for? It’s okay if you don’t know. We can figure it out together.

I’ll be sharing prompts, introducing new ideas, and bringing on guests who can offer fresh perspectives. Not everything will apply to you, but approach it all with curiosity. When you’re connected to your deepest desires and have a direction for your life, it can give you hope and make your life more joyful, even through struggles.

Stick with me. Come back every week. Share this blog. Leave a comment, a rating, or a review. It will help others hear this message and connect with their true desires. Let’s start living our lives with intention, hope, and joy.

Thank you for being part of this journey. Let’s make it exceptional together!
